Simple Poached Eggs

Enhance your breakfast, brunch or lunch by poaching your eggs in bone broth. It’s simple, creative and delicious.

Ingredients

350ml Osius Organic Beef Bone Broth
1 or 2 Organic eggs

Method

Step One

Set a wide pan on medium heat and add your beef bone broth, letting it reach a rolling boil.

Step Two 

Reduce the heat so your broth is simmering and stir or whisk to create a whirlpool in your pan.

Step Three 

Here you have options: You can crack your egg into a cup and quickly pour it into the centre of your whirlpool or you can crack your egg directly into the pan. Once it’s in the pan, let it cook for between 2 and 4 minutes. 2 minutes for a very soft egg and 4 minutes for a soft to firm egg.

Step Four

Remove the egg with a slotted spoon and place on a kitchen towel or immediately on to your plate.

We prefer to serve our eggs with a slice of buttered toast and a sprinkling of salt but you can enjoy it however you like!
