Bone Broth & Bacon BBQ Sauce

All the BBQ flavour with some gut-loving goodness!


320ml Osius Bone Broth (your favorite flavour!)

1 tablespoon bacon drippings

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 small sweet yellow onion, finely diced (or a quarter of a large onion)

1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon Soy Sauce

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Juice of 1 lemon

1 (7oz) jar or can tomato paste


1. Heat bacon drippings in a saucepan on medium heat.

2. Add garlic and onion, and sauté until soft and translucent.

3. Add mustard, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt, and continue to sauté for one minute.

4. Add lemon juice, bone broth, and tomato paste. Then whisk all ingredients together until smooth.

5. Bring to a light boil. Then reduce to simmer.

7. Allow to simmer for 30-45 minutes.

8. The sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
