Our ‘Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice’ Award

What is Applying Function Medicine in Clinical Practice?

Applying Clinical Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) is “a patient-centred educational program that helps deepen the understanding and practical application of the Functional Medicine Matrix Model.” But what does that actually mean? Well, Functional Medicine is all about restoring health through addressing the root cause of an illness or disease on an individual basis by asking why the illness occurred.

ACMCP uses the latest medical research integrated with each patient’s individual history, genetics and lifestyle factors to develop personalised treatments for each patients. This helps to improve outcomes for patients with chronic diseases.

Our Award

The Osius Bone Broth Company are proud and pleased to have won the AFMCP 2017 award, sponsored by Nutri-Link, for the “Most Supportive Approach to Nutrition for Health Professionals” and the story of how Osius Bone Broth came to be is certainly a supportive one. Our bone broth was developed at the request of a local nutritionist who was treating an eight year old boy suffering from a severe gut disorder. His mother was a vegetarian but was willing to do anything to help her son, so started looking for an organic, grass fed bone broth. That’s when we teamed up with a local organic farmer to start selecting the bones which would eventually make it into Osius Bone Broths.
